Grain Harvest Weight Sharing enhances In-Field Data Sharing by allowing operators to see the current grain weights of grain cart tractors within their workgroup. This visibility improves communication between cabs and reduces idle time during harvest. Grain weights are accessible on John Deere Operations Center Mobile, helping farm managers optimize operations and manage transport vehicles effectively.
This feature uses compatible scales to share grain weight across the fleet. It is visible on John Deere displays and within the mobile app. To enable it, displays must have an activated Gen 4 Premium 3.0, Gen 4 Automation 4.0, or G5 Advanced license and an active MTG/modem.

In addition to viewing the percent full within the combine display, this feature unlocks the ability to see the current grain weights of all grain carts operating in the same work group.

Viewing the current grain weights of every machine in the work group allows operators to better understand when and where each harvest machine needs to be. They can spend less time waiting for others in the field to reach out, ready to unload, and more time efficiently harvesting, unloading, and transporting grain. Less idle time makes for a more productive fleet, which is crucial during tight operating windows.

Combines and grain carts within the same In-Field Data Sharing work group can visualize the grain cart weights on the John Deere display and within Operations Center Mobile. This information allows operators, farm managers, and support vehicles to make more informed decisions during the harvest season. Grain Harvest Weight Sharing utilizes compatible grain cart scales to share grain weight from the cart to the tractor display. That weight is then shared with other machines operating in the same work group.
